Yes, your documents can be made searchable via two different methods. Indexing your documents is the primary function. Labeling your documents with key information that is a refined version of your hard copy system is ideal. Make the indexing intuitive and easy for your end users to understand. Most importantly, make them consistent with the use of preset lists. We can show you how.
Searching all the text in a document requires OCR (Optical Character Recognition). All Powered by Paperless packages come with some type of OCR capability. Kodak’s SmartTouch technology has a built in OCR engine. It is ideal for smaller documents (20-30 pages or less) in a low volume setting. For large volumes of pages, documents and frequent use, the ABBYY FineReader line of OCR products are ideal and are also included in the Best packages or as stand alone software starting as low as $399. For enterprise solutions, the ABBYY Recognition Server is best. Contact us for info.
If you are new to the products and technology, we specialize in you! Paperless Onramp services are available starting at $250. We can come on site or do a WebEx conference and walk you through the install. Basic training on products function is available. Just click on the “Paperless Onramp Services” option in the packages or products pages.
Some scanners and software are carried in stock and other will be shipped direct from the manufacturers. Depending on your location, products will arrive within 3-7 business days of your order.
We give you the scanner up front and allow you to pay monthly for your service. We simply need your commitment to get Powered by Paperless. Once you sign up you will be billed monthly. If you need to end your service before a one or a two year term, there are no penalties. We simply prorate the cost of the machine that we shipped and send a final bill for that amount. You will not pay any separate cancellation fees or termination fees.
Once your term is fulfilled you can continue on a monthly basis as long as you wish.
